Get in the festive spirit with our wreath-making sessions, meet Father Christmas and the donkeys in the stable, and join our annual Donkey Dash to the top of Moel Famau in aid of Alzheimer's Society!

MEET FATHER CHRISTMAS And The Donkeys IN OUR COSY GROTTO!
Enjoy an unforgettable festive experience with the whole family this December! Meet our adorable donkeys and Father Christmas in his cosy grotto. Discover fascinating facts about our gentle donkeys and meet the excitable elves who help care for them during this most magical time of year.

Meet our friendly donkeys and share your Christmas wishes with Father Christmas. Remember to bring your Christmas list, addressed to the North Pole, to post in the stable’s enchanted mailbox. Every child's ticket includes a special Moel Famau Donkeys gift.
This is a full 30-minute experience, where you will have plenty of time to groom the donkeys and meet Father Christmas. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Children aged 1 and under do not require a ticket unless you want them to receive a gift. Each session has limited spaces to ensure a personal and memorable experience.
WREATH MAKING IN OUR COSY CABIN
27TH NOVEMBER & 30TH NOVEMBER
Get into the Christmas spirit with our wreath-making workshop, perfect for ages 14 and up! Learn how to craft a beautiful, festive wreath using seasonal foliage and decorations, guided by the talented Angharad Rees, formerly of Maia Florist, Ruthin.

Angharad brings years of experience as a professional florist, with a passion for creating stunning seasonal arrangements. She will lead a hands-on, fun and relaxing workshop, giving you all the skills and tips you need to create the perfect wreath for your home. This is a great opportunity to spend quality time with friends or family while embracing the festive spirit.

Please bring your own secateurs ​or scissors. If you would like your wreath to follow a specific colour theme, please feel free to bring along ribbon and accessories of your choice. The following will be provided:

CHRISTMAS DONKEY DASH
SUNDAY 30TH NOVEMBER, 10AM - 2PM
Join us for our annual charity Donkey Dash! ​Embark on a heartwarming adventure across the beautiful Clwydian Range with our six miniature Mediterranean donkeys in aid of Alzheimer's Society! Enjoy breathtaking views as we traverse the donkey's favourite mountain terrain, finishing at the iconic Jubilee Tower on the summit of Moel Famau.
To add to the festive spirit, every adult participant will receive a Father Christmas outfit to wear. Children are encouraged to wear warm, festive outfits.

The total round-trip distance is 6 miles. Please note that the first 3 miles are uphill. For safety and comfort, we recommend that younger children be secured in a robust sling or carrier. The trek typically lasts around 4 hours. We will set off from our stable at Moel Famau Donkeys (CH7 5SJ) at 10am.​​

FESTIVE GATHERINGS IN THE STABLE
THROUGHOUT DECEMBER
This December, our stable will be transformed into a cosy grotto with twinkling lights and festive decorations. Come and meet the donkeys, learn how to groom and look after them, and discover their unique personalities! There will be plenty of opportunities for cuddles and selfies.

This is a 60-minute indoor experience, but we recommend you wrap up warm. Tickets include a hot drink and mince pie on arrival.
CHRISTMAS CAROLS IN THE STABLE

This Christmas, we have a musical extravaganza for all to enjoy! Join us in the stable with our beautiful donkeys for an evening of carols and refreshments. This is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit with family and friends.

This is a 60-minute indoor experience, but we recommend you wrap up warm. Adults will receive a hot drink and a mince pie. Children will receive a drink and cake. Carols will be sung in Welsh and English.
